The Minnesota Futurist Organization been meeting since 1968. Minnesota Futurists is the oldest and largest chapter of the World Future Society. A newsletter, Future Trends, and Futurics, a juried journal of futures research are published quarterly. Both are included with membership.
Purpose
Contribute to a reasoned awareness of the future and the importance of its study, without advocating particular ideologies or engaging in political activities.
Advance serious and responsible investigation of the future.Promote the development of methods for the study of the future and increase public understanding of future-oriented studies
Facilitate communication and cooperation among organizations and individuals interested in studying or planning for the future.
