Management and Societal

Looks at possible futures for management and leadership. Alternately, we discuss topics regarding general social impacts of possible futures on health care, governance, crime, education, the family and other societal constructs.  See Meetings for dates and time. 

Future Studies Course

For those who are interested in future studies, The Minnesota Futurists is offering a Future Studies Course on the first Saturday of each month. Earl Joseph will guide this course during which he will address the following 1. the tools used to do future forecasting and planning, and 2. The use of these tools in the social, political, economic, science & technology, and business fields There is a $5.00 charge for the future studies course. See Meetings for dates and time. .

SIG Guidelines:

Everyone knows a piece of what the future might hold.  Hence, everyone is heartily invited to  share their thoughts & insights and add to what we hope is a frothy, stimulating, and challenging exchange of ideas with persons having a wide variety of views and perceptions. 

We hold to the ideal of discussing Futures, not ãTheä Future. This recognizes that multi-tiered, multi- faceted, pluralistic Futures (plural) may be in store for us.  We focus on possible futures. 

What was past - or is present - is only germane to our conversation if it can be referenced to directly illustrate futures that may await us.  Meetings for dates and time.
